I photographed these White-tailed Kites on Sunday in Richardson. They were soaring at a considerable distance, and although the shutter speed was only marginally sufficient, I managed to capture several moments of their graceful flight.
White-tailed Kites can hover almost motionless in the air while searching for prey, a behavior known as "kiting."
