I was at Lake Lavon photographing Barn Swallows. As the light faded and my ISO climbed too high, I decided to stop shooting.

While standing near my car, I noticed an Osprey flying over the lake. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity, so I took several shots. When I reviewed them later, most were underexposed and showed little more than shadows and highlights. My first thought was to delete them, but then I realized that it’s about preserving a memory and the experience behind it.

So I processed the images and decided to share them anyway. I believe the Osprey had just caught something from the water, though the light was so low that it’s difficult to tell for certain.
